The Isle of Man is an independent democracy with one of the oldest
established systems of parliament in the world. It is situated in
the Irish Sea, roughly half way between the United Kingdom and Ireland.
There is a very sophisticated regulatory regime in place ensuring
the highest quality of financial and corporate services. The Island
has a "common purse" arrangement with the UK relating
to Value Added Tax so there can be significant advantages in using
a Manx corporate vehicle if there are VAT implications.
